Maintaining and supporting legacy applications

Many legacy applications do their job reliably – as long as someone looks after them. We take over maintenance of your application, even if the original vendor or developer is no longer available.

When does it make sense?

  • The previous developer or provider is no longer available.
  • Your internal IT is at capacity or lacks the specialist knowledge.
  • Legal changes require adjustments, e.g. new reporting formats or tax rates.
  • The application needs to keep running stably and securely until it is replaced.

What we do

  • Error analysis and bug fixing
  • Minor functional adjustments and extensions
  • Security updates and dependency upgrades
  • Introducing version control, automated builds and tests where missing
  • Operational support and incident handling
  • Orderly takeover from other providers (transition)

What you get

  • Agreed response times
  • Flexible models, e.g. hour packages or a monthly flat fee
  • Traceable changes with tickets and a change log
  • Continuously updated documentation
  • Regular notes on risks and sensible next steps

Good to know: maintenance is often the most sensible first step. We get to know your application, stabilise it – and lay the groundwork for later modernisation.
