Privacy policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026. This is an English translation for convenience. The German version is legally binding.
In short: this website uses no cookies, no analytics or tracking tools and loads no third-party content (not even external fonts). We only process personal data where necessary to operate the website or respond to your enquiry. How often individual pages are requested is counted only anonymously from the server log files (see section 2). If you reach us through an ad, we only take over the campaign identifier from the link when you write to us using the contact form (see section 3). Our free webinar runs on Google Meet (see section 4).

2. Hosting and server log files
This website is operated on a server provided by Contabo GmbH, Aschauer Straße 32a, 81549 Munich, Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
When you access the website, the web server automatically processes the following data: IP address, date and time of access, requested page or file, amount of data transferred, HTTP status code, referrer URL, and browser type and operating system (user agent).
Purpose: delivering the website, ensuring stability and security, and detecting and preventing attacks.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and functional website).
Retention: log files are deleted automatically after 14 days.
Anonymous access statistics: a program on our server automatically counts from the log files how often each page was requested per day, separately for visitors and automated requests (e.g. search engines, recognised by the user agent), and how many requests came through an ad (campaign identifier in the address, see section 3). Only the date, the page and these totals are stored, with no IP address or other details that could identify you. The totals are therefore anonymous and are kept without a fixed time limit. The purpose is to improve the website and our advertising; the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
3. Contact form, email and phone
If you write to us using the contact form, we process the data you enter – name, email address, selected topic and your message, and optionally organisation and phone number – to handle your enquiry. This data is not stored on the web server; it is sent to our mailbox as an email over an encrypted connection. As confirmation, we send a copy of your details to the email address you entered; before doing so, a DNS lookup checks whether that address's domain can receive email. The same applies if you email us directly. If you call us, we likewise process your phone number and the content of the call only to deal with your request.
Campaign identifiers: if you reach our website through an ad (e.g. on Google) or a campaign link, the page address contains campaign parameters such as gclid or utm_source. The website passes these parameters on when you click internal links and sends them along with your enquiry when you submit the contact form. This tells us which advertising campaign brought you to us. No cookies are set, nothing is stored in your browser, and no code from Google or other providers is loaded. If you don't submit the form, we don't evaluate the parameters; we only count anonymously how many page requests contained such an identifier (see section 2). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in measuring the success of our advertising).
Our mailbox and email delivery are provided by united-domains GmbH, Gautinger Straße 10, 82319 Starnberg, Germany, as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR.
To prevent abuse, the web server limits the number of requests per IP address. For this purpose the IP address is held only briefly in memory and is not included in the email. An invisible check field additionally helps to detect automated spam submissions; no further data is collected for this.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures; otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
Retention: we delete your data once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. under German commercial or tax law) apply.
4. Webinar registration and Google Meet
When you register for our free webinar, we process your name, your email address and the date you chose, plus, if you provide them, your organisation and a question in advance, in order to organise your participation and send you the link to join. As with the contact form, these details are not stored on the web server but sent as an email to our mailbox, and you receive a confirmation at the address you entered. The information in section 3 on campaign identifiers, our email provider and protection against misuse applies accordingly.
We hold the webinar using Google Meet, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you take part, Google processes the data needed for this: your display name, where applicable your email address or Google account, technical connection data such as your IP address, chat messages, and audio and video if you switch on your microphone or camera. Google may also transfer data to the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and the transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). For more information, see Google's privacy policy. We do not record the webinar.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (carrying out the participation you requested).
Retention: we delete your registration details once the webinar has taken place and your questions have been answered, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. No disclosure, no third-country transfers
We do not pass your data on to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so. Visiting this website does not involve any transfer of data to countries outside the EU or EEA. Only if you take part in our webinar may Google transfer data to the USA (see section 4).
